Review

From the owners of Bon Vivant comes the Devil's Advocate, a bar and restaurant situated in the historical Old Town of Edinburgh, in a modernised Victorian pump house.

Hidden off the Royal Mile in Advocate's Close, one of Edinburgh's famous steeply stepped closes, Devil's Advocate is slick and modern. As you walk in you are greeted by the impressive towering back bar groaning with 200+ Scotch and world whiskies. The space is multi-levelled with the mezzanine restaurant floor and an outside terrace.

The cocktail offering is as impressive as that of the whisk(e)y selection. There's decent wine lists as well as interesting craft beers on draught and bottle/can.

Bartenders were knowledge, friendly and accommodating and the restaurant service and food are also well above average.
