This blanco veromouth is made at Talai Berri Txakolina, a family-owned winery in the hills above Zarautz, in Spain's Basque Country.
Unusually, it is made with 100% Getariako Txakoli Wine from the Hondarrabi Zuri variety from Talai Berris' own vineyards in Zarautz.
An infusion in neutral alcohol and water is made using some 80 different aromatic herbs in old 300-litre French oak casks.
This infusion is blended with the wine, sugar and wine alcohol.
After a stabilising resting period, the vermouth is chill-filtered and bottled.
