Amaro Nazionale is a contemporary interpretation of one of Italy's traditional amari. Produced using cold infusion, Amaro Nazionale combines orange, artichoke, coffee, rhubarb, quassia, bergamot and rosemary to create a distinctive balance of citrus, herbal and bittersweet flavours.

Created by the team behind Cinquanta - Spirito Italiano, the acclaimed cocktail bar in Pagani, southern Italy, Amaro Nazionale was developed by bartenders to celebrate the everyday rituals of Italian bar culture, particularly the ammazzacaffè, the traditional after-coffee digestive, while offering the versatility cocktails require.

Orange and bergamot bring brightness, while coffee adds richness and artichoke contributes an earthy, vegetal character. It has a restrained sugar content of 110 grams per litre, just 10 grams over the legal minimum for a liqueur.

Amaro Nazionale is designed to be served chilled, over ice or mixed in a cocktail.
