This is a chocolate liqueur from the noted grappa distillers Fratelli Francoli, is based on grappa, flavoured with 3% cacao powder and thickened with xanthan gum. The packaging is beautiful and elegant. The tall, shapely bottle is sealed with a swing-top cap, while the label resembles parchment.

Taste:

Glass huggingly thick and rich, this liqueur has a luscious, dark, high cocoa chocolate flavour but is never cloying as the subtle warming bite of the grappa balances the sugar content.

Aftertaste:

Serve straight from the fridge and you will find a second glass difficult to resist.
