Brewed with 60 per cent wheat and pale ale malts, Perle and Northern Brewer hops using Bavarian wheat beer yeast without any added spices this is a 'Hefeweizen', i.e. an unfiltered wheat beer.

Appearance:

Cloudy, orangey amber. What little head there is quickly disappears without trace. (Yeasty sediment in base of bottle).

Aroma:

Banana skin and cloves with faint lemon zestyness, hops and a dusting of pepper.

Taste:

Spicy (clove) banana palate with zesty lemon citrus, yeast and enlivening cracked red pepper corns.

Aftertaste:

Subtle clove lingers with pink grapefruit zest and pita bread.
