Bols Elderflower Liqueur is flavoured with the cream coloured, honey scented blossoms of the elder tree, also called the sambucus nigra. Bols soaks dried elderflower blossoms in a water/alcohol mixture with a secret water/alcohol ratio in order to extract the optimum flavour.

Unlike most other elderflower liqueurs, Bols does not add citric acid, so allowing the delicate elderflower aroma and flavour to shine.

Appearance:

Clear, very pale gold with a slight green tinge.

Aroma:

Heavily scented yet delicate floral aromas with light honey, potpourri scented elder blossoms and faint lychee.

Taste:

Clean, delicate, perfumed, faintly syrupy, fresh and floral with fresh elder blossom and a touch of aromatic white wine and citrus.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering intensely floral finish.
