Old Hooky is brewed with Maris Otter pale ale and Crystal malts and some malted wheat before being boiled with Challenger, Fuggle and Golding hops. Hooky is also dry hopped.
'Old' Hooky is not actually that old as far as English bitters go, dating back to around 1900, nevertheless the origins of the name are lost in time. Hooky can be found on draught in pubs across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Gloucestershire.

Clear, coppery amber with moderate off-white quickly dissipating head leaving moderate lacing.
Fudge, butterscotch, burnt brown sugar with stewed fruit/plums, a pinch of cinnamon and a faint whiff of swimming pool and farmyard.
Moderately bitter, fruity palate with zesty orange, nutty malt and piny hop notes.
Steely, moderately hoppy finish with light zesty grapefruit.
