Described by its brewer as being “a full flavoured golden ale with a big voice, the elegant straw coloured bitter has a hint of sweetness which is complemented by subtle hop flavours leading to a dry finish." Originally launched in 1994 as a cask only beer.

Appearance

(bb 26-Apr-13) Cloudy, golden amber with thin head but heavy lacing.

Aroma

Rich honey and fern with bready malt.

Taste

Well-judged use of resinous pine hops give backbone to this mildly bitter quaffable golden ale with slight honey sweetness.

Aftertaste

Slightly metallic, bitter finish.
