    First brewed in 2005 to celebrate the move of Brakspear’s unique brewing equipment to the Wychwood Brewery after the original brewery closed in 2002. Brewed with Pale Malt, Black Crystal and Oats with Target hops using Brakspear’s “double drop" wooden fermenting vessels. Read more

    Appearance

    (Bot No. B48507, bb Apr-13) Clear, deep mahogany reddy brown with thin off-white head.

    Aroma

    Candied fruit (pineapple), molasses and toffee apple with grassy hops and a whiff of alcohol.

    Taste

    Slightly sweet with noticeable alcohol strength, toasty malt with butterscotch, toffee, burnt butter and burnt sultanas with bitter hop resins.

    Aftertaste

    Biscuity malt and burnt caramel.
