This low alcohol pale ale is “named after the brightest star in the sky (the sun), which rises first over the Sole Bay Brewery every morning” – the brewery sits on England’s east coast and the sun rises in the east. Brewed with Pale Ale, Crystal, Black and Munich malts and Chinook and Cascade hops.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 23/08/2012

Appearance:

(best before 30-Jun-13) Clear, dark coppery amber with thin head and light spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Damp woollen jumper, butter cups, caramel and pink grapefruit zest.

Taste:

Toasty malt with light green hops and slight vegetal notes. This is a low-alcohol beer so is disappointingly thin but tasty when compared to other alcohol shy offerings.

Aftertaste:

Toasty malty finish.
