Aged: 10 years
Product of: United Kingdom
Released in July 2012, this is the first release of Balblair 2002, replacing the 2001 vintage. Like the previous 2001 which it replaces, this vintage was aged 10 years exclusively in ex-bourbon casks and bottled without caramel or chill-filtration.

Clear , pale gold.
Cereal, zesty lemon and orange with cacao, dedicated coconut, green apple skin and oaky vanilla.
Vanilla and creamy chocolate/crème caramel, pear fruit, toffee and faint cinnamon spice.
Long. Cereal and oak with pear skin fruit and light cinnamon spice. A fruit malt with bags of vanilla and just enough oak spice. Enjoyable rather than challenging.
