Review and Tasting

Appearance:
(best before Dec 2013) Deep brown with bronze highlights. Steadily streaming small bubbles forming a continuously renewing ring around the glass’ edge.
Aroma:
Old but fragrant oak and pungent cinnamon with salt and pepper dusted corn-on-the-cob, gingerbread and dark barky aromas.
Taste:
The slightly sweet side of balanced with brown sugar sweetness checked by dry oakyness. Flavours of caramel, lightly smoky charcoal, citrus zest oils, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla with tobacco, overripe banana and gingerbread.
Aftertaste:
Caramel, oak and citrus with lingering rooty notes.
Overall:
We were impressed enough by this pre-mix to put against a freshly made Jack & Coke. The pre-mix was softer with more caramel and sweet cinnamon but held up well. An alcopop we’d recommend.
