Review and Tasting

Sampled on 11/11/2012

Appearance:

(sample brewed 04-Oct-12) Opaque, ebony with thick, long lasting, beige head depositing creamy lacing.

Aroma:

Dark chocolate and liquorice with pungent, resinous pine and grapefruit hops.

Taste:

Charcoal, liquorice and chocolatey malts with pine and grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering resinous pine. Fades with liquorice, cigarette ash and herbal notes. This black IPA will be loved by aficionados but perhaps challenging for most.
