Review and Tasting

Sampled on 03/02/2013

Appearance:

(batch No. 2, bottle No. 296) Clear, golden amber with polished gold highlights.

Aroma:

Malty apple cider, maraschino cherry and cinnamon spice. Water releases more leathery sweetcorn and pear drops.

Taste:

The use of new American oak casks gives this malt a distinctive bourbon-like spicy twang with char-grilled corn-on-the-cob and wonderful herbal and fresh barley water notes.

Aftertaste:

Lingering toasted barley with cinnamon, nutmeg spice and black pepper spice. Incredible complexity and refinement for such a youthful whisky.
