Matured solely in American bourbon casks. Auchentoshan Classic has no age declaration but is generally matured 5 to 8 years. Although this seems young for a malt whisky it is perhaps worth remembering that many hold that the purer triple distilled spirit matures faster.

Appearance:

Clear, pale/straw golden appearance.

Aroma:

Light fruity, stewed apple juice with light acacia honey/vanilla and a hint of coconut.

Taste:

Equally light fruity palate with good grain notes.

Aftertaste:

Lasting barley on a firey finish.
