Angels & Devils was blended from 27 different Arran casks based around sherry hogsheads including Arran’s oldest peated casks from 2004. The July 2013 release of 6,660 bottles was bottled at natural strength without chill-filtration.

Angels & Devils is the second part of Arran’s trinity of devilish malts and follows the original Chapter I released in 2012.

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 14/07/2013

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden.

Aroma:

Chocolate, spice and cigar box. Dried fruit emerges with water with more chocolate, vanilla, light cinnamon, nutmeg and earthy cigar box.

Taste:

Sweet and honeyed with balancing dry spicy oak. Vanilla fudge, dried pineapple and sweet sherry with bitter chocolate, tannins and dry nuts.

Aftertaste:

Vanilla fudge and milk chocolate with light lingering warm spice.
