Launched on St. Georges Day 1959, London Pride is based upon the recipe of a Fuller’s beer called Special Pale Ale, dating from the at least the 19th century. London Pride is brewed using two malts: Crystal and Pale Ale with Target hops for bittering and Challenger and Northdown added late.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/11/2013

Appearance:

(sample best before 24-Sep-14) Clear, coppery amber with thin off-white head leaving spotted lace.

Aroma:

Lightly bready, stewed apple and buttery caramel with earthy hops.

Taste:

Orange and lemon zest, floral hops and earthy herbal notes sit over a base of biscuity and bready malt.

Aftertaste:

Long cleansing dry hops with a touch of crusty apple pie and chocolate fudge. Balanced, full of character and sessionable. Makes me proud to be a Londoner.
