Launched as one of two limited releases, one smoky (TR-06)the other lightly sherried (#00-V4), by Compass Box in September 2013. Following feedback from drinkers in January 2014 the company will announce which of the two blends will become a permanent edition to Great King Street.

Batch #00-V4 (the sherried one with the orange label) is a release of 3,439 bottles blended from 28% Lowland grain whisky and 72% malt whisky from Speyside, the Highlands and islands and with a small percentage of peated malt from Islay. Mostly first-fill sherry seasoned casks and refill ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled without chill filtration or added colour.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Biscuity toffee popcorn with jaffa cake filling, apple pie and nutmeg spice.

Taste:

Creamy vanilla, peach and warm baked apple pie with light peat and spice.

Aftertaste:

Popcorn and light spice.
