This ÙE Cru was distilled from Moscato Monovitigno (single varietal) grape pomace from Cru Besenello in Vallagarina, Trentino, and matured for 19 years in barrel No. 82 made from Nevers oak. Only 567 hand-blown individually numbered decanters were produced, each with a gold plated stopper.

Appearance:

(sample from bottle 510) Clear, burnished coppery amber.

Aroma:

Cherry, candied orange peel, vanilla, sandalwood and marzipan (strangely reminiscent of Tizer) with toffee ice-cream and faint liquorice.

Taste:

Liquorice, cherry, poached pear and spicy sandalwood with orange zest.

Aftertaste:

Liquorice, olive oil, maraschino cherry, candied orange peel and charcoal.
