Sharps’ Single Brew Reserve is designed to profile what they consider the best hops from each year. In 2013 this fell to the Czech superhop Premiant, known as Super Saaz. This was brewed using whole Premiant hop flowers with Pale Ale and Caramel malts for two months before bottle conditioning.

Review and Tasting

Sampled before 1st May 2011

Appearance:

(sample best before 11-Dec-16) Clear, golden amber with a thin off white head.

Aroma:

Grassy eucalyptus, tinned peaches, mango and zesty orange with white bread crust.

Taste:

Zesty orange and pink grapefruit with tropical fruit and grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Lightly bitter citrusy pine and grass cuttings with dried tropical fruit.
