Appearance:
(sample bottled 19-Aug-13, bet before 19-Aug-14) Sediment in bottle pour carefully. Hazy, deep tawny brown amber with a lasting thick beige head with light lacing.
Aroma:
Heavily roasted malt, leather, prunes, raisins, toast and molasses with porridge, caramel and nuts.
Taste:
Bittersweet, nutty roasted malt with burnt toast, cacao and hints of shoe polish.
Aftertaste:
Toasty with lingering bitterness and liquorice.
