First made in 1862, Bacardi Añejo is a blend of rums aged for up to three years. Bacardi Añejo is distilled at Destilería la Galarza in Mexico, the first country in which Bacardi built a distillery (in 1929) when it began to expand from its original Cuban base.

Bacardi describes this as being "the original, mixable light-bodied, premium aged rum."
