Review and Tasting

Sampled on 01/02/2011

Appearance:

(Cask type: ASB, cask No. 012-023, distilled Feb '07, bottled: mar '10, not peated.) Clear, very light pale straw yellow.

Aroma:

Subdued yet 'fresh' cereal and fruit with spruce needle, pear, apple and dry grass.

Taste:

This is a child of a whisky and so understandably its palate is clean and young with distinct fresh grainy, floury notes but an obvious dry, spicy woody influence.

Aftertaste:

The short finish is an extension of the palate with barbeque charcoal and hickory wood smoke.
