A blend rums sourced from Trinidad, Barbados and Jamaica, distilled from fermented molasses and then aged in ex-bourbon barrels for an average of 7 years, with 20% 8 year old rum included in the blend. Virgin Gorda is bottled in the UK without the addition of colouring, aroma or flavour additives.

Virgin Gorda is the third-largest of the British Virgin Islands and is said to have been named ‘Virgen Gorda" (Fat Virgin) by Christopher Columbus in 1493, during his second journey to the Americas, because the profile of the island on the horizon looked like a fat woman lying on her side. By the 17th century the name was anglicised to Virgin Gorda.
