Named after Africa’s Savannahs, Savanna Dry cider was introduced in South Africa by the Distell Group in May 1996 and has since grown to be the world’s third-largest cider brand. It is packaged in clear glass and its makers prefer it to be served in the bottle with a wedge of lemon in the neck.

Appearance:

(sample best before end Nov/14) Clear, pale to mid golden with no lasting head.

Aroma:

Apply fruit with faint notes of honeydew melon.

Taste:

Semi-dry, light and clean. Flavour is reminiscent of pasteurised apple juice. Lack complexity but is light, easy drinking and refreshing.

Aftertaste:

Pallet fades without extra dimension.
