Distilled with the same 23 botanicals used in its sibling Flemish Gin 23, but this is a blend of cuts taken during distillation when different flavours are at their peak. Around 25 litres selected from each batch distilation of 200 to 250 litres, enough to fill a mere 35 to 36 bottles.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 07/07/2014

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Pronounced zesty citrus – particularly lemon zest and lemon meringue filling. Underlying, eucalyptus, pine, coriander and lavender blossom.

Taste:

Superbly clean and at nearly 50% alc./vol. also punchy. Juniper is much more dominant than on the nose with pine, eucalyptus and camphor. The zesty citrus is also very evident but better integrated with coriander, peppery spice and floral lavender.

Aftertaste:

Lavender, eucalyptus and lemon zest
