Review and Tasting

Sampled on 08/12/2014

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Floral elderflower with buttery pastry and white pepper.

Taste:

Good clean elderflower flavour. Slightly sweet with perception of balancing citric acidity and spirit black pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Lingering sweet elderflower with enlivening black pepper spice. Overall: Good elderflower flavour but it would have been good to see this flavoured ‘vodka’ at least hit the 37.5% alc./vol. mark. Closer to a liqueur than a vodka perhaps? In this brand name the ampersand is everything. All that said – Anno Elderflower is eminently quaffable.
