According to Google Translate Juuri means ‘right’ in Finnish but the chaps at Kyrö Distillery in Isokyrö, Finland, who make this unaged spirit distilled from Finnish malted rye, say Juuri also “means both ‘origin’ and the base for making great rye bread.”

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Toasted rye bagels, doughy brown bread, raisins and pastry with brazil nuts.

Taste:

Nutty and bready with white pepper spice and liquorice root.

Aftertaste:

Faint aniseed and liquorice on a medium length bready, nutty white pepper finish.
