Launched in 2008, Somersby cider is owned by Carlsberg and was originally developed from the company's home Danish market. Somersby has since been released in various other countries including the UK where this 4% version of the sweet fruit cider is produced by Carlsberg in Herefordshire.

Despite its Danish origins, Somersby cider is named after a fictional British Lord, ‘Lord Somersby’. The brand has no connection to the English village of Somersby, Lincolnshire.

Appearance:

(sample best before 25/Nov/15) Clear, vivid cherry red.

Aroma:

Blackberry jam with cherry and vanilla ice-cream.

Taste:

Sweet and fruity. Clean blackberry and raspberry with vanilla notes.

Aftertaste:

Raspberry Ripple ice-cream like.
