Aptly named Ambrosia, this sweet, rich Moscatel from Romate is the nectar of the gods.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 14/12/2015

Appearance:

Clear, deep (almost opaque) chestnut brown.

Aroma:

Grapey with stewed prunes, plump sultanas and raisins. Faint peach and toasted almond.

Taste:

Rich, stewed prunes, sultana and raisins with woody red grapes and balancing acidity and light tannins.

Aftertaste:

Sweet with some balancing acidity. Concentrated sultana, raisin and molasses with some espresso coffee.

Overall:

Big, rich and sweet. Consider in place of a Pedro Ximénez.
