A limited edition of just 2,000 bottles. Cruzeiro gin was distilled in Hamburg and shipped to Lisbon during June 2015 in casks previously used to mature Moscatel.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, light golden amber.

Aroma:

Pine needles, dried pineapple, Fruit Salad chews, vanilla and coriander spice.

Taste:

Dry and yet fruity, almost juicy with overripe pineapple, cream-of-soda vanilla, black pepper and coriander spice. Piney juniper and oak combine harmoniously.

Aftertaste:

Lingering pine, dried pineapple, dry oak and cream-of-soda vanilla.

Overall:

An exceptionally good and characterful example of an aged gin with pronounced fruitiness (dried pineapple, zest lemon and Fruit Salad chews), dry oak, cream-of-soda vanilla and black pepper spice.
