This Strawberry Saison is brewed using Belle Saison yeast giving the beer a slightly peppery spicy notes. Some 300kg of strawberries are added to each brew for the last two days of fermentation and stay in the beer during its conditioning period.

Brewed using Pale and Wheat malts, along with Hurkules hops.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Hazy, sandy golden amber with thick retentive off-white head and light lacing.

Aroma:

Malty – white bread crust, saison yeastiness and faint strawberry jam.

Taste:

Light to medium-bodied. Dry and lightly spicy with more white bread crust maltiness, tart citrusy yeast and jammy strawberry.

Aftertaste:

Refreshing tart dry finish with white breadiness and lingering spice.

Overall:

Don’t expect a sweet strawberry flavoured beer. This is a tart and dry saison with light white pepper spice and jammy strawberry.
