One of three alcoholic sodas launched in 2017, Crooked Beverage sodas feature a malt ferment and are made using “real fruit juice” (2% raspberry juice from concentrate) and natural flavours and colourings. This raspberry and lime flavoured soda contains 5.62g sugar/100ml (56.2g/ltr).

Appearance:

(sample can BBE Nov/19) Clear, salmon/rust red with carbonation producing a short-lived white head.

Aroma:

Candied raspberry (reminiscent of Raspberry Mivvi ice-cream) vanilla and lime cordial.

Taste:

Fresh raspberry and raspberry jam with mild sweetness partially balanced by light citric acidity and high carbonation.

Aftertaste:

Lingering candied raspberry finish with light balancing bitterness.

Overall:

This designer alco-pop, sorry “alcoholic soda”, contains around 5.5% sugar with fresh raspberry and raspberry jam flavours.
