Slane Irish Whiskey is blended from whiskeys aged in three different types of cask: virgin oak, ex-American whiskey barrels and casks previously seasoned with oloroso sherry style wine.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla, toasted oak, nutmeg, caramel, ginger, sherry, toffee, and roasted almonds.

Taste:

Dry, toasted oak, butterscotch, cinnamon, nutmeg and spice, vanilla, and green apple.

Aftertaste:

Medium finish. More toasty oak. Initially spicy but mellows to fade with fudge.

Overall:

Toasty oak dominates, mellowed by caramel, butterscotch and vanilla, and enlivened by cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger spice.
