Appearance:

(sample bottle best before 30/Sep/19) Clear, pale salmon pink with an off-white head and high carbonation.

Aroma:

Pungent stewed rhubarb with faint cardamom and rose blossom.

Taste:

Good clean and natural tasting rhubarb. Cardamom is very subdued adding complexity rather than spice. Faint floral rosewater notes. Slight sweetness rather than being sweet.

Aftertaste:

Moderate length with natural tasting rhubarb and lingering light sweetness.

Overall:

A superbly balanced and complex soft drink with attractive natural tasting rhubarb and delicate sweetness. Unlike many other sodas, the level of citric acidity is subtle and well judged. Great for summertime drinks mixing.
