Review and Tasting

Sampled on 24/11/2018

Appearance:

Clear, deep tawny brown.

Aroma:

Stewed berry fruit (cooked raspberries and blueberry jam), wormwood, rosemary, bay leaf and herbal rootiness.

Taste:

Bittersweet. Initial sweet cherry fruit turns to raspberry and blueberry jam, the wormwood, rosemary and rooty bitterness and spice (ginger and cinnamon) brings balance and complexity. As do faint citrus and floral notes.

Aftertaste:

Moderately long. Blueberry jam, wormwood, nutmeg and cinnamon spice.

Overall:

The stand-out, re-sealable and re-usable screen-printed bottle contains a rich fruity vermouth with blueberry and cherry. Wormwood and complex herbal bitterness, light spice and light citrus add balance. Attractive faint floral notes.
