A Norwegian potato spirit-based aquavit distilled with glacial water from the Lyngen Alps and flavoured with caraway, orange, star anis, coriander, fennel and “some other (secret) ingredients”.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

(supplied tasting sample rather than production bottle) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Caraway and star anise with liquorice and light zesty orange.

Taste:

Liquorice to the fore with underlying caraway, aniseed and black pepper.

Aftertaste:

Long finish with lingering spicy liquorice.

Overall:

Due to the strong liquorice notes in this clean and very enjoyable aquavit we suspect that liquorice is one of the unstated “secret” ingredients.
