This white pineau des charentes is made mostly from Ugni Blanc grapes with some Folle Blanche and Colombard varieties. It is matured in oak which imparts both flavour and its golden hue.

Appearance:

Clear, mid bright golden amber.

Aroma:

Poached pear, plump sultana, and honey with marmalade.

Taste:

Honeyed sweetness is balanced by light acidity. Saltana, fresh grape juice, vanilla, and cognac.

Aftertaste:

Saltana, honey, fresh grape juice, and cognac.

Overall:

Established in 1969, Reynac is the biggest brand of Pineau des Charentes and, in common with most brand leaders, the name guarantees a reliably good quality product.
