Made to a recipe created by Don Vincenzo Staibano after spending time on the Italian island of Capri in the mid-1940s. The secret recipe includes Amalfi Lemons and other citrus, spices, herbs and roots.

Appearance:

Clear, deep brown amber with burnished copper and bronze highlights.

Aroma:

Sarsaparilla, cola, liquorice and vanilla with orange and lemon.

Taste:

Caramel, sarsaparilla, cola, and vanilla

Aftertaste:

Bittersweet caramel and sarsaparilla with delicate cracked black pepper.

Overall:

As amari go, Staibano Capri is a crowd-pleaser. It edges on the sweet side of bittersweet with sarsaparilla, cola, liquorice and vanilla.
