In July 1993 R. L. Seale & Company acquired the assets of Alleyne Arthur, including aged rum stocks and the Old Brigand brand. Old Brigand Black does not carry an age statement but is a blend of rums more than five years old.

Appearance:

Clear, amber coloured.

Aroma:

Toffee-apple and honey with hints of orange-marmalade.

Taste:

Medium bodied palate with apple juice, fudge and vanilla with bitter toffee notes turning more spicy as the palate develops.

Aftertaste:

Dry, spicy, vanilla finish.
