Gale Force gin is made at the Triple Eight Distillery, a micro distillery founded in 1997 by Dean and Melissa Long on Nantucket Island, near Boston. The distillery is named after its water source, well No. 888.

Gale Force was first launched in January 2005 and is packaged in a stocky, bottle screen printed with two flapping red flags by local Nantucket artist Paul Galschneider.

Appearance:

Transparent and clear.

Aroma:

Lacklustre nose with mild barky juniper lemon pie filling citrus aromas.

Taste:

Juniper and citrus compete for attention with crack black peppery spice on the palate.

Aftertaste:

Dry cracked black pepper dominates the finish.
