Launched in 2020 by Scottish Actor Sam Heughan, known for his role as Jamie Fraser in the hit TV show 'Outlander'. Sassenach Gin takes its name from a phrase used throughout the show, 'Sassenach', which means outsider or foreigner in Scots Gaelic.
Sassenach Gin is a London dry gin distilled at Crafty Distillery with locally foraged botanicals from Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway regions, where Sam was born and grew up. Botanicals used include Scottish juniper, rhubarb, heather, Scots Pine resin, bramble leaf, blaeberry, crab apple and toasted oats.
