Franklin & Sons Rhubarb & Hibiscus Tonic Water is made with natural rhubarb and hibiscus flavours blended with cinchona bark extract and sparkling water.

Franklin & Sons recommends serving this with spiced gins.

Appearance:

Crystal clear with steady streams of small rising bubbles.

Aroma:

Stewed rhubarb and quinine.

Taste:

Rhubarb notes are more pronounced than the hibiscus and both combine well with minerally quinine.

Aftertaste:

Quinine pushes the rhubarb aside in the finish.

Overall:

Rhubarb doesn't sit classically with gin, but it may sit better with a spiced gin, as Franklin & Sons recommends. Perhaps be a little more adventurous and try with blanco tequila.
