Strange Nature is a grape-based gin made from the spirit of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine with just one botanical: juniper. The essential botanical to all gins.
Strange Nature originates from the production of 0% alcohol New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine made by the Giesen family from grapes grown in the world's most southerly grape-growing region at the top of the South Island in Marlborough, New Zealand. A region renowned for its Sauvignon Blanc wine.
To remove the alcohol from the wine, innovative spinning cone technology is used to gently extract the alcohol while preserving the wine's natural aromas and flavours.
Hapilly, the byproduct of this process, is a clean white spirit which is distilled with juniper to produce Strange Nature Gin.

Crystal clear.
Blackcurrant and zesty lime with faint pine freshness.
More blackcurrant with piney juniper notes more forward. Pleasing soft, silky mouthfeel invigorated by assertive black pepper. Faint salinity and ripe pineapple.
Blackcurrant and piney notes continue on the long lingering finish.
If not "Strange," this New Zealand gin is certainly unusual. Blackcurrant notes akin to hard candy are striking throughout, but this gin remains savoury rather than fruity. Striking, luxurious, deep blue-green corrugated bottle with copper plaque label.
