Launched in Autumn 2011, this is the third line extension from the successful Opal Nera black Sambuca brand. To quote the label, "intense cherry with a hint of anise. Serve straight, over ice, or combine with your favourite energy drink."

Appearance:
Clear, rich blood red with burgundy red highlights.
Aroma:
Surprisingly spirituous with children's medicine-like confected stewed cherry and sweet almond aromas.
Taste:
Sweet, slightly syrupy, concentrated cherry, almond, apricot, aniseed and liquorice with citrus acidity.
Aftertaste:
Sweet, almond and cherry fading to star anise.
