Finlaggan Ale is brewed with pale and crystal malts. Golding is used as the bittering hop with Mount Hood and Styrian Goldings hops added towards the end of the boil for their aroma. Bottled conditioned so store upright and pore with care to leave natural sediment in the bottle.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 23/07/2015

Appearance:

(sample best before end Jun16) Hazy, deep coppery amber with thin ivory head.

Aroma:

Pungent and bready with dungy aromas and light citrus.

Taste:

Full-bodied, malty, earthy and slightly grassy with underlying sweet plum fruit and citrus freshness.

Aftertaste:

More plum fruit with lingering grassy, chicory and pine hop bitterness.

Overall:

Bittersweet and fruity with something of a dungy note (in a good way).
