(sample bottle batch 157, BB 21/Mar/18) Hazy, deep orange amber with a retentive thick off-while head and heavy lacing.
Toasty freshly sawn pine, ground cereal grain, caramel and zesty grapefruit with faint elderflower.
Full-bodied with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Zest citrus freshness, bitter pine resin, sweet caramel and light floral flavours.
Sweet cereal balances bitter pine and zesty grapefruit.
At a whopping 8.5% alc./vol. this is hardly a session IPA. It has an equally huge flavour. It’s a big beer, but it’s no hop bomb - hop notes are in balance with sweet cereal and caramel.
