Traditionally made using a tiny copper alembic still with a single shot distillation to produce around 80 bottles per batch. Designed by tattoo artist, Mo Coppoletta, Fifty Eight Gin’s logo pays homage to the Art Deco style of 1930's prohibition.

Fifty Eight is made by Mark Marmont, an Australian ex Dive Master and Boat Skipper who moved to London early 2007 and discovered a passion for the cocktail industry and gin, leading to the creation of his own gin.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 09/12/2015

Appearance:

(sample bottle 28/33) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Pungent juniper with candied ginger and zesty lemon, coriander and hop flowers.

Taste:

Initially dry before turning slightly sweet. Powerful piney juniper with coriander, cleansing zestiness, cracked black pepper and a soft mouthfeel. Clean, yet with an earthy, clean hamster cage note.

Aftertaste:

Macadamia nut influences the clean piney finish.

Overall:

A traditionally London dry-styled gin with upfront piney juniper, coriander, cleansing zestiness, cracked black pepper and a soft mouthfeel.
