Made from potatoes grown on the owner’s farm in Germany’s Volcanic Eifel region which are fermented and distilled by Holger Borchers at his distillery in Selsingen, to produce a base alcohol which he redistills with ten gin botanicals including: juniper, lemon, cinnamon, coriander and lavender.

Appearance:

(sample batch No. L043, bottle No. 34211) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Pungent piney juniper with enlivening eucalyptus, lemon and lime zest. Faint floral lavender and crystallised ginger. Water amplifies zesty citrus.

Taste:

Fabulously clean and fresh with piney juniper, zesty lime/lemon, soapy lavender, coriander and cracked black pepper.

Aftertaste:

Enlivening cracked black pepper, pine, lemon zest and coriander.

Overall:

Clean, characterful and powerful with pronounced zesty citrus and delicate floral lavender. The packaging is even better than the gin.
