Review and Tasting

Sampled on 02/03/2017

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Lemon grass, lime zest, eucalyptus, pine, thyme, sage and white pepper.

Taste:

Intense and spicy with chilli and black pepper heat, lemon grass, thyme, cooked lime peel, pine and eucalyptus.

Aftertaste:

Resinous pine and cracked black pepper spice.

Overall:

Despite its very high alcohol content and cracked black pepper forward spicy botanicals, The Captain's Cut is surprisingly subdued with water/tonic. A gin for those who like their G&T served spicy with delicate herbal complexity.
